Only one word Efficiency
It does make sense and mean a lot to everyone.
Whenever we operate the machine the efficiency of the machine or engine can / could be lost / dropped due to following major factors / contributions / impact
Before Entering / Outside The Internal Combustion Chamber
.. Leads to Effect and Contribute to Unfavorable Condition / Circumstance :

Inside the Internal Combustion and The System :

Whereby absolute to near absolute burning of the fuel is likely depends on majority of the factors from the above mentioned to contribute. Even though the design and technology was perfect able to comply to EPA or EURO or whatever international standard you can name, at the end of the day, these engines would fail to perform and unable to comply to any of these standards because of those mentioned factors. None of the engine manufacturers so far is able to solve the internal combustion that would be able to yield almost to near absolute firing and burning of the fuel and allow insignificant amount of those unburned hydrocarbons and all those toxic gases such as CO, NO
X throughout operating life of the engine. We have to open up the engine and do the major overhaul otherwise the engine would get worse and worse because these unburned hydrocarbon known as soot / gum / tar would accumulate and deposit / lodge into internal parts inside the combustion chamber such as inlet and exhaust valves, piston rings and grooves, etc. accumulated and became thicker and harder causing leakage of air /fuel and unburned hydrocarbons. The engine would unable get optimum performance or in other words it has lost its efficiency and its power thru the course of firing because of incomplete burning of the fuel.
